Dr. Khan's Story From Kasur to the World
Dr. Waqas A. Khan was born and raised in Changa Manga, Kasur a small town in Punjab, Pakistan. Rather than leaving his roots behind in pursuit of success, he carried them forward. The schools his mother built in 1985 for the poor people of his village are still running today under his leadership as Principal and CEO now serving over 5,000 students in low-cost, high-quality education.
This deeply rooted sense of community, responsibility, and service is what makes Dr. Khan different from every other coach. He does not coach from theory alone he coaches from life.
Dr. Khan began his professional journey as a journalist, serving as District Reporter for The Nation in Kasur from 2010. His fearless reporting quickly gained national and international attention. A landmark story on the deforestation of Changa Manga Forest triggered suo motu action by the Lahore High Court resulting in the forest being restored from 80% deforested back to fully afforested by 2014. This was not just journalism this was justice in action.
He went on to write over 300 columns and articles for Pakistan Today, serve as District Reporter for Dawn News where he broke the Kasur child abuse scandal and work as Country Reporter for Channels TV Nigeria, a BBC subsidiary, from 2017 to 2019.
